Hangzhou Binjiang Experimental Primary School is a public primary school affiliated with the Education Bureau of Hangzhou High-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Binjiang). The school is located on the banks of the beautiful Qiantang River, with a total area of 50,572 square metres and a building area of 84,348 square metres. The green area is 17,780 square metres, with a green space ratio of 35%. With a total investment of 580 million, the school was completed and put into use in April 2018. There are more than 60 classes, more than 2,700 students and 200 staff. All the serving teachers have a bachelor's degree and 32.8% have a master's degree.
The school follows the philosophy of "goodness and all things, knowledge and action", and has a vision of cultivating positive, courageous and future citizens with a sense of family and international perspective. We insist on cultivating students' traditional cultural confidence and future scientific and creative insight as the two wings of the school; adhering to the concept of students' unity in knowledge and action and cultural self-awareness, the concept of teachers' internal and external training and cultural self-reflection, and the concept of the curriculum of learning and creation and cultural integration; allowing children to learn to live in harmony with others, society and nature and create a better home together.
The school has been insisting on the action research of "N (constant) + X (variable) integrated learning" in the curriculum reform, actively practising the implementation paths of "selective classes, fixed classes, selective enterprises, and executive teaching", fully supporting the differentiated growth of students, and striving to build a future school without walls. The school has been awarded the "Advanced School in Digital Construction" by Zhejiang Province and the titles of Advanced School of Digital Construction in Zhejiang Province, Advanced Group of School-based Training in Zhejiang Province, Model School of Scientific Research in Hangzhou, Civilised School in Hangzhou, School with Special Characteristics in Science and Technology in Hangzhou, and School with Special Characteristics in Sports in Hangzhou.
